European Month of the Brain - Open your mind!

The European Commission organises two related conferences (Dublin and Brussels) linked to successes and challenges on European Brain Research for all interested stakeholders: scientists, laypeople, industry and patient representatives, policymakers and media.

The objectives of the conference are:

  1. To showcase and raise awareness about benefits, added value and impact of EU-supported research in the area of brain research and healthcare.
  2. To define next scientific challenges for brain research (in particular in the fields of understanding how the brain works, diesease prevention, diagnosis and thearpy of brain diseases and industry-driven research).

When and where:

  • Brussels: Tue 14 May 2013
  • Dublin: Mon 27 & Tue 28 May 2013

All stakeholders concerned are invited to join the initiative and organise events or activities around brain research such as workshops, exhibitions, 'brain days', science cafés to open days, lab visits, media events, awareness campaigns, amongst others, and their activity might be added to the European Month of the Brain 2013 events calendar.
