Networking in research through a COST Action has led to the development and commercialisation of environmentally friendly antibacterial tiles that only require indoor light to kill pathogens such as E.coli. They target Health Care Acquired Infection (HCAI), which affects the lives of millions of people and causes 37,000 deaths across the EU annually.
