EU Prize for Women Innovators

During the Innovation Convention, the winners of the EU Prize for Women Innovators will be awarded.

The European Commission has launched this contest to reward women innovators who have achieved outstanding innovations and brought them to market.
The prize aims to inspire and raise awareness of the need for more women innovators and entrepreneurs.

The contest was open to all women who have at some stage participated in the EU Framework Programmes. An independent panel of judges from business and academia has examined and selected the three winners. The first prize is €100.000, second prize €50.000 and the third prize is €25.000.

The Prize has been designed by the French artist Mireille Bailly-Coulange. A "Sculptor of light", she has created a new method for engraving Altuglas (acrylic glass).
