Since ESFRI first published its first European Roadmap for Research Infrastructures in 2006, the Forum has taken a proactive role towards the realisation of the facilities. The timely implementation of the projects on the Roadmap continues to be a major focus of the Forum's activities within their mandate to "support a coherent and strategy-led approach to policy making on research infrastructures in Europe".
With this in mind, at the end of 2009, ESFRI compiled its first Roadmap Implementation Report. This report gives an overview of the status of the Roadmap Projects and their Implementation, the role of ESFRI in the implementation of the Roadmap, the tools supporting this process and the main challenges ahead. It should be noted that this document is a snapshot of the situation. Projects certainly evolve and as such ESFRI will update this document periodically to reflect the changing situation. The next Roadmap Implementation Report will be published at the end of 2010, as part of the Roadmap Update.
For paper copies of the report, please send an email to the ESFRI secretariat at firstname.lastname@example.org.
