Possible topics for future activities
for integrating and opening national research infrastructures

The European Commission is organising a consultation for preparing future EU activities for integrating and opening national research infrastructures. The consultation is open as from 15 July to 22 October 2012.

These activities would correspond to the follow-up of the successful Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) actions named "Integrating Activities" (see here the list of FP7 funded projects), conditional to the approval of the European Commission proposal for the next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020, by the EU Parliament and Council.

The aim of these activities is to provide a wider and more efficient access to, and use of, the research infrastructures existing in EU Member States, Associated Countries, and at international level when appropriate.

The consultation is made in the form of a call for suggestion of possible topics, in order to help identify potential future topics for Integrating Activities. Topics will be proposed by research infrastructures stakeholders, e.g. operators of research infrastructures and user communities.

Proposed topics received will be analysed by a panel of high-level independent experts. A report mapping the needs and providing recommendations will be produced by the panel, which will be made available on Internet. However, no individual feedback will be provided to the proposers.

Download the full Background Document describing what are Integrating Activities and their aim, how to suggest a topic, and how the consultation results will be analysed.

Please prepare your answer to the consultation using the Word version of the online questionnaire, and, only once final, submit your proposal by filling in the online questionnaire no later than 22 October 2012.
