Entrepreneurship skills refer to a wide number of competences such as marketing, management of IPR and financial issues.
More and more, research centres are internalizing these competences or developing specific tools to assist the researchers, e.g. through business and innovation centres (see European BIC network).
It can be also managed through partnerships between research institutes and companies or by external expertise.
European programmes such as the Marie Curie Actions for Industry/SME and ERASMUS for young entrepreneurs are designed to boost entrepreneurship and business skills of researchers and new entrepreneurs.
