* Manufuture 2013 – Welcome message by Herbert von Bose, Director Industrial technologies

The Manufuture conference will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania from 6 to 8 October 2013. In his welcome message, Mr von Bose invites the stakeholders from industry, research institutes, universities and public sector, to attend this important event for research and innovation in manufacturing. Manufuture will be the occasion to share a common vision for manufacturing in Europe and to promote effective cooperation for a more sustainable and more competitive European manufacturing industry.

Horizon 2020 is looking forward to host some renewed and new Public Private Partnerships.
The next Public Private Partnership Info Days will take place in Brussels, on 16-17 December 2013.

  • A new skin for old stones – the Heromat project
    In the north western corner of Serbia lies Bac Fortress.
    It’s a XIV century castle – now considered a national heritage monument – which was destroyed 300 years ago and has been lying in ruins ever since.
    Yet, despite huge conservation efforts, it is still under attack today.
    In this video, you will discover how European researchers are working together with archaeologists and conservation workers to preserve cultural heritage.

* Research Fund for Coal and Steel

The RFCS announces the publication on the 24th of September of the combined Monitoring and Assessment Report of this Research Programme which includes an analysis of its operational aspects and evaluation of the financial benefits for Europe.
