Earlier industrial research programmes

GROWTH

The Competitive and sustainable growth programme (1998 to 2002) brought together a range of ‘key actions’ and ‘generic activities’ in the European Commission’s Fifth Framework Programme (FP5), promoting sustainable industrial growth by stimulating innovation and co-operation in European RTD.

Brite-Euram

The Brite-Euram III Programme (1994 to 1998) provided support to industry, academia and research organisations for pre-competitive collaborative and cooperative research in materials, design and manufacturing technologies, with special emphasis on transport sectors - aeronautics, automobiles, ships and trains.

A series of case studies showing the long-term impacts of Brite-Euram II and III projects is available on the Research impacts page.
