EUREKA – This European network for market-oriented industrial R&D and innovation challenges the migration of researchers to Asia and North America. Its 38 member countries offer support to SMEs, large industry, universities and research institutes. The new products, processes and services that it helps bring to market make Europe economically strong and socially sound.
Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) - targets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), supporting innovation activities and providing better access to finance. The CIP delivers business support services throughout Europe.
COSME - the new EU Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (COSME) will run from 2014 to 2020.
European Investment Bank(EIB) – The EIB, the long-term lending bank of the European Union, provides financing and support for innovative projects that fit its criteria. The bank operates on a non-profit maximising basis and lends on very favourable terms to projects that further EU policy objectives.
Risk Sharing Finance Facility (RSFF) - the European Commission and the European Investment Bank have joined forces to set up the Risk Sharing Finance Facility. RSFF is an innovative scheme to improve access to debt financing for private companies or public institutions promoting activities in the field of RDI. Consult also the brochure (PDF version).
European Investment Fund (EIF) – The EIF is a unique public-private partnership which is owned by the EIB and provides venture capital and loan guarantees for SMEs. By taking on SME risks, it helps implement European Community policies, notably in the field of entrepreneurship, technology, innovation, growth, employment and regional development.
Gate2Growth – This pan-European business platform, initiated by the European Commission, supports innovative European entrepreneurs who seek financing. It also helps innovation professionals (e.g. venture capitalists, technology incubator managers, technology transfer officers) foster networking and knowledge exchange among entrepreneurs.
Access to Finance – This preparatory action of the European Commission assists regional credit institutions, especially from the new Member States, to further develop their credit operations vis à vis SMEs.
European Venture Capital Association (EVCA) – EVCA promotes and facilitates European venture capital and private equity. It provides information services for members and creates networking opportunities.
European Business Angels network(EBAN) - EBAN is the representative in Brussels through direct and indirect membership of more than 250 business angel networks in Europe.
