Nano Update 2012

Nano Update 2012 is a two-day event for companies and scientists interested in industry cooperation. The focus will be on four themes where nanotechnology plays a role, today and in the near future. StandarDays, CEN-CENELEC Meeting Centre
17-18 April 2012, Avenue Marnix 17, 1000 Brussels, Belgium

The goal of StandarDays is to give a clear and structured overview of the European Standardization System, of the CEN and CENELEC products and processes, as well as the benefits of involvement to potential stakeholders.
It is a two-day information session consisting of an introductory plenary meeting, which explains the different aspects and tasks of CEN and CENELEC (day 1) and interactive, in-depth workshops (day 2). This structure gives participants the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the overall European Standardization System (day 1) and then take advantage of the CEN and CENELEC expertise to obtain further clarification and explanations (day 2).

Nanotechnology Entrepreneurship Workshop
19 April 2012, Nottingham, UK

This event is organised and funded by the NanoCom FP7 CSA (in conjunction with the University of Nottingham Institute for Enterprise and Innovation) and is specifically targeting researchers in nanotechnology. During the workshop participants will hear from researchers who have translated their work into commercial products and services and from investors who invest in early stage nanotechnology research.

This brokerage event is organised during the Technology Exhibitions Week (TEW) held in Milan between 8 and 12 May 2012. The Nanotechnology Investors forum is organised by NanoCom and Innobridge and is supported by NANOfutures. It will present to selected investors (Business Angels, Venture Capitalists) investment opportunities based on nanotechnologies. The forum is a European initiative aimed at facilitating the path to success for spin-offs or start-ups where development has been part funded by a public organisation (European, national, regional).
