You are cordially invited to attend a technical briefing organised by the European Commission on the adoption of a Recommendation and Code of Practice on the management of Intellectual Property

 The Recommendation will promote better management of knowledge in universities and other research organisations so as to:

  • bring about better knowledge transfer to the private sector
  • promote more active exploitation of publicly funded research results
  • encourage academia-industry collaboration, licensing and spin-offs
  • promote trans-national knowledge transfer

This event will offer journalists an opportunity to gain an insight into the challenges that implementation will pose for Member States, public authorities and research organisations
