Going Green - CARE INNOVATION 2014

The International CARE Electronics Office is pleased to announce the Going Green – CARE INNOVATION 2014 conference and exhibition on Electronics and the Environment. It will take place in Schoenbrunn Palace Conference Centre Vienna (Austria), which is situated in the Apothecaries’ Wing of the famous building. This Symposium is the only platform for presenting the up-to-date progress on sustainable development and the development of eco-efficient electr(on)ic & automotive products. This year’s program will feature the latest in environmental design, clean manufacturing, resource efficiency, climate change, new eco-efficient technologies, collection, reverse logistics, refurbishment, carbon trading, re-use, recycling and policy making from leading experts in industry, academia, consulting, recyclers and public area around the globe. Leading companies and institutions in green electr(on)ics will present their innovative products, processes and services at the exhibition. Industrial Biotechnology in UK and Ireland - Identifying Challenges and Opportunities

The BIO-TIC consortium wish to invite you to a free one-day workshop discussing issues surrounding the uptake of industrial biotechnology in the UK and Ireland. This is your chance to tell us where the hurdles lie and suggest ways in which they could be addressed. Your input will be crucial in helping us develop an action plan which best addresses the needs of UK and Irish stakeholders in this strategically important area. This workshop is one of a number of regional workshops being held throughout Europe as part of the BIO-TIC FP7 project, which aims to develop an integrated roadmap and action plan for the successful development of industrial biotechnology in Europe.
INFuture2013: Information Governance

The OpenChina-ICT Final Conference
5 November 2013, Vilnius, Lithuania
The OpenChina-ICT project, supported by the European Commission (DG CONNECT) through its FP7 research-funding programme, aims at significantly contributing to the facilitation of ICT related research cooperation between Europe and China. The project will organise its Final Conference on strengthening cooperation in ICT research between Europe and China. This event will be held on November 5, 2013 at the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva in Vilnius, Lithuania, the day before the launch of ICT 2013, representing the major European event dedicated to ICT research and innovation and organised by the European Commission from November 6-8, 2013. The conference objective is to (i) bring together policy and research stakeholders from Europe and China, (ii) present the final project outcomes, (iii) evaluate new ways to promote scientific cooperation in ICT research and (iv) provide recommendations towards more effective funding and more fruitful cooperation programs between the two regions in the framework of the new research funding programme Horizon 2020.
