FEHRL Infrastructure Research Meeting 2013 (FIRM13)

4-6 June 2013, Brussels

With the theme of "Advanced and Innovative Construction and Maintenance", FIRM13 will feature sessions on infrastructure innovation, implementation and maintenance, including adaptation to climate change, knowledge transfer and asset management. The programme will also include sessions with innovation funding agencies and others, as well as a workshop on barriers to market uptake.

This key event, which is free of charge and in English, will gather more than 250 transport infrastructure innovation and research experts, including European and national policy makers, leading industry, standardisation agencies, SME's and the media.

LOGINN 1st International Workshop on Innovation in Logistics

5 June 2013, Munich, Germany

The logistics innovation workshop will examine which are the real obstacles for investment and innovation for shippers and other players in the SC and how social media can lower those barriers. In particular, this event will address the role and impact on logistics innovation of social media and open innovation approaches.

European Conference on ICT for Transport Logistics

23-25 October 2013, Zaragoza, Spain

The ECITL (European Conference on ICT for Transport Logistics) is an established and well-known international conference where experts, practitioners and researchers in the field of Transport Logistics, Supply Chain Management and ICT meet. This years’ conference focus on “Logistics Research: IT Solutions and Innovations Facilitating Cooperation”. The conference consists by a scientific day and two industry day where new and innovative topics will be presented and discussed.

Events earlier this year

A European Research Strategy on Intermodal Transport

17-18 April 2013, Las Palmas (Spain)

The objective of the conference is to contribute to the optimization of research and innovation transport policies by defining a targeted research strategy for intermodality to be implemented in the new programming period 2014-2020.

To this end, the conference devotes special attention to the role of clusters as driver of innovation activities and to the integration of transport into Smart Specialization Strategies of European regions.

The event has been organised in the framework of the Regions of Knowledge FP7 project INTRAREGIO (“Towards an Intermodal Transport Network through innovative research-driven clusters in Regions of organised and competitive knowledge”).

An exhibition space will be also set up for transport and logistics clusters to present their activities and projects. A total of 20 stands will be made available for free and assigned on a first come first served basis upon registration at conference@intraregio.eu
