The main goals of the first day of the workshop is to give a complete overview of the entire portfolio of projects on photovoltaics (PV) in the NMP, Energy and ICT programmes through the FP7 and to make key recommendations on future research needs in the PV domain for the set-up of a nanotechnology roadmap to foster the development of PV in Europe.
The second day, Ephocell consortium presents the progresses on Up Conversion and Down Shifting Luminescent Solar Concentrators. The technology developed into Ephocell project is applied for enhancing the performance of third generation PV cells.

The concept of "EastLink" cooperation is based on EU Eastern partnership policy and the EU Central Asia cooperation strategy. The main goal of the conference is to attract business support organizations, science institutions and enterprises for constructive dialogue with the aims to:

SARTRE (Safe Road Trains for the Environment) aims to encourage a step change in personal transport usage through the development of safe environmental road trains, or 'platoons': a convoy of vehicles where a professional driver in a lead vehicle drives a line of other vehicles. All vehicles are totally detached and can leave the convoy at any time. Once in the platoon, drivers can relax and do other things while the platoon proceeds towards its long haul destination. This final workshop will include a demonstration of platooning with five vehicles on a test track, a simulator and other project results, as well as host stakeholder discussions.
