Transport Research Information Days
18-19 July 2012, Brussels, Charlemagne building
The transport theme under the EU’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) welcomes excellent research proposals looking for innovative solutions to today’s transport-related societal challenges.
Are you from an SME, company, research institution or university and interested in learning more about how to participate in the transport theme under the EU’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7)? Meet us and potential partners at the ‘infodays’ and find out all about the Work Programme 2013.
The aim of the two-day event is to inform potential researchers about FP7 and the new Transport Calls for Proposals under the ‘Co-operation’ Programme. Details will also be given on the main legal and procedural conditions and we will respond to your questions. Participants will also have the chance to network with potential project partners.
Research PPPs Infodays 2012
9-10 July 2012, Brussels, Belgium
For the last PPP calls in FP7, Joint Information Days will be organised on 9 and 10 July in Brussels. More than 800 participants coming from the EU and beyond are expected.
Commission representatives and industrial partners will present the PPPs progress and success stories, and discuss about future opportunities and challenges.
SAVE ME Project - 2nd International Workshop on Transport Safety and Security
27 June 2012, Gateshead Quayside, United Kingdom
SAVE ME aims to develop a system that detects disaster events in public transport terminals/vehicles and critical infrastructures (i.e. tunnels and bridges) and supports quick and optimal mass evacuation guidance, to save lives, giving particular emphasis to the most vulnerable travellers. This workshop is intended to disseminate the key findings from the EU FP7 SAVE ME project and provide an open environment for a wider discussion about the major safety and security issues facing transportation today.
16th International Forum Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA 2012) - Smart Systems for Safe, Sustainable, and Networked Vehicles
30-31 May 2012, Harnack House, Berlin, Germany
ICT, components and smart systems have been essential for a multitude of recent innovations in road mobility. They are expected to be key enabling technologies for changes ahead, both inside the vehicle and at its interfaces for the communication of data and energy (i.e. fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and zero accidents).
It has been the objective of the International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA) for more than fifteen years to detect novel trends and to discuss the technological implications and innovation potential from day one on. In 2012, the topic of the AMAA conference will be “Smart Systems for Safe, Sustainable and Networked Vehicles”.
EWENT DISSEMINATION SEMINAR
29-30 May 2012, Geneva, Switzerland
The EWENT project dealt with extreme Weather impacts on European networks of transport. At this final conference the EWENT researchers and researchers of related projects will present their findings on:
1. What are the extreme weather phenomena that are most harmful to transport system and what and where are the biggest impacts?
2. How these phenomena are going to change in pace with expected climate change?
3. What are the total costs induced to transport system by extreme weather?
4. What European parts – geographically, mode-wise – are most vulnerable to extreme weather?
5. How can we prepare ourselves, what are the means and the tools?
