CAPS2014

1-2 July 2014, Brussels

CAPS2014 is a two-day international event, organised under the aegis of the European Commission. On July 1, the CAPS2014 OFF part of the event, held at The Egg, will offer a dynamic schedule of talks, unconferences, workshops, hands-on sessions and networking moments. On July 2, the CAPS2014 Conference part, held at the European Commission, will provide participants with an overview of current projects and initiatives, and with detailed information of the upcoming CAPS Call under Horizon 2020.


Euroscience Open Forum - ESOF 2014

21-26 June 2014, Copenhagen

ESOF2014 offers a platform where researchers, journalists, policy makers, students and organisations can meet and debate European research and global challenges.

The 2014 meeting is entitled “Science Building Bridges”. The aim of this event is to raise awareness of science in the public and to strengthen the effective “bridges” between science and society.

The scientific programme, covering 8 themes, consists of keynote lectures, seminars, workshops and engaging formats for debating the latest research.

Webinar on the new Participant Portal for H2020

The Participant Portal, the central web platform for EU research and innovation funding, is improving its user-friendliness and functions for H2020. You can learn more at the webinar on 24 June.

All the grant-related online exchanges of EU research and innovation funding are managed on the Participant Portal. To make the system as user-friendly as possible, the Commission seeks continuous advice from actual users.  The next meeting of an external user group is planned for the afternoon of 24 June in Brussels. To allow maximum participation and input from a wide audience, this meeting will be webcast with a live stream. Additionally, a web forum will be used where interested parties can post questions and comments, either directly during the meeting or afterwards.

Destination Norway - Opportunities in ERC Research Funding

18 June 2014, Oslo, Norway

Organised by the EU Office at the University of Oslo, this half-day seminar is aimed at researchers, research administrators, leaders involved in research strategy and those with an interest in ERC research funding opportunities. The aim is to provide an opportunity for researchers to learn more about ERC funding opportunities, and to meet and discuss directly with the ERC and fellow researchers from across Norway.
