ICTTE Belgrade 2014 will be held on 27-28th November 2014 in Belgrade (Serbia) and will be co-hosted by the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering.
ICTTE Belgrade 2014 will gather researchers, scientists and engineers whose fields of interest are traffic and transport engineering, and should provide them a good platform for discussion, interactions and exchange of information.
Registration is now open! Conference on Transport Safety: societal challenges, research solutions

You are now welcome to register to be able to attend the conference on Transport Safety Research, on 4-5 December 2014, in Genoa, Italy.
This Conference, convened by the Italian EU Presidency and the European Commission, will gather researchers, stakeholders, transport professionals and policy makers from the different transport modes, to assess the future needs for transport safety, and identify priorities for research and innovation activities in Horizon 2020 and beyond.
The conference will address both the safety challenges specific to each mode, common issues and concerns that cut across them – notably human factors, automation and data management – taking into account societal challenges, policy requirements, technological developments and economic benefits.
This event is expected to provide useful input towards the definition of a shared European R&I agenda, with pointers to be taken into account in the preparation of next Horizon 2020 Work Programmes, with a view to ensure the proper deployment and implementation of safety solutions resulting from research activities.
Smart, Green and Integrated Transport Information Day, save the date!

To support the preparation of proposals, DG RTD's Transport Directorate of the is organising an Information Day on Monday 2 February 2015 from 9 AM untill 6 PM in the European Commission Charlemagne building, rue de la Loi 170, in Brussels.
The aim of the day is to inform potential participants in the next round of calls under the Smart, Green and Integrated Transport Challenge of the new Horizon 2020 Framework Programme and to offer opportunities for networking.
The sessions will deliver a brief presentation of the surface transport, the aviation and the cross-cutting topics of the Transport challenge Work Programme 2015.
Information will be given on the Evaluation Guidelines and on the legal and financial Rules for Participation covering all aspects from the submission of a proposal to the signature of a grant agreement.
The participants will have the opportunity to address specific technical questions related to the Work Programme 2015 to European Commission's project officers.
17th International Conference on Transport Science - ICTS 2015

The Conference covers many aspects of transport, gathering eminent names from the academic sphere as well as professional experts. The conference traditionally hosts round tables with topical subject as well as poster and classic presentation sessions.

Transport Research Arena 2014: Innovate Mobility, Mobilise Innovation
14-17 April 2014, Paris
The 5th edition of TRA will take place in Paris and will be a major event where Horizon 2020 will be discussed in depth, under the theme: "Transport Solutions: From Research to Deployment". The Transport Research Arena is a major conference on transport research in Europe held every 2 years.
First conference The Ocean of Tomorrow projects: what results so far?

On 26th March 2014, the Directorate General for Research and Innovation is organising the conference The Ocean of Tomorrow projects: what results so far?
This first conference will present early results of four ambitious and multi-disciplinary projects with a focus on understanding, mitigating and adapting to changes in the marine environment. Two projects dealing with the sustainable exploitation of marine biodiversity will also be showcased.
The event will include a panel discussion with high-level experts to take stock and to put forward their views concerning how marine and maritime research could be developed under Horizon 2020.

Water beyond Europe II

After a successful first edition, we are pleased to announce that “Water beyond Europe II”, the workshop dedicated to our new collaboration with South Africa will take place on 20th of February at the EUREKA Secretariat in Brussels.
This second edition will bring together our European partners and a delegation of South African stakeholders, as well as national funding agencies from both continents. “Water beyond Europe II” will present an overview of the common water priorities between Europe and South Africa and will bring the possibility of creating potential collaborations between both continents and within ACQUEAU
