Training Academy: "Turning research results into exploitable products and services"

The event is organised by the EU-funded project TIPS. If you are involved in EU-funded transport research projects, this event is interesting for you as it will provide you with the necessary assistance to allow you to develop your deployment plan for the exploitation of your research results.
The target group of the event are project coordinators and partners from research projects in the field of transport under the FP7 programme. Thus participants to the training academy will include business representatives, academics, policy makers and other stakeholders involved in these projects.

From Research to Action: “Resource Efficient Innovation for SMEs” - EU research community insights for a greener economy

On 28th November 2013, DG Research and Innovation will gather research organisations and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) participating in EU-funded projects under the Environment Programme to discuss the role of SMEs and resource efficiency in the context of green economy.

Resource efficiency is a priority for Europe. The Europe 2020 strategy highlights the role of Research and Innovation (R&I) in enabling the transition towards a smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Building on the experience acquired during the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) this event aims at consolidating the perspective of participants on resource efficiency, SMEs and green markets. In addition, the outcome of the event is expected to complement the results of the on-going public consultation on a Green Action Plan for SMEs.
The event is taking place in MADOU Auditorium, Place Madou 1, 1210 Brussels (Metro station “Madou”).

Celebrating with BONUS the first year of implementation of the joint Baltic Sea research and development cooperation

The event will highlight the success of BONUS, the ambitious research and innovation programme its supports and its contribution towards joint programming of European research and innovation, the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, the Common Fisheries Policy, Maritime Policy, the international research cooperation etc.
At the time of the event, BONUS will have managed the first year of its implementation phase and the first projects to receive BONUS funding within the domain of the BONUS call 2012 should be announced.

European Innovation Partnership on Smart cities and communities - launch event

Are you interested in smart city concepts and in meeting public and business leaders who are transforming our cities? The European Commission is organising a conference in Brussels to share and discuss the actions outlined in the "Strategic Implementation Plan" of the Smart cities and communities Partnership and how to put them into practice.
At the conference, the Strategic Implementation Plan and future actions by the Partnership will be presented to a large audience. You will hear from city leaders, CEOs, civic society leaders and 3 European commissioners about their plans for new investments, innovations and programmes for our cities and communities. The conference also hopes to inspire other organisations to join in and implement the Partnership's actions.
The registration will be open on 5 November 2013.
