Collaborative Systems for Reindustrialization Current economic crisis, which is affecting many world regions, namely in Europe, has led to an intensification of discussions around the reindustrialization needs.
After decades of industrial decline, due to deliberate policies that advocated an exclusive move toward a service-oriented society, while neglecting the production of tradable goods, many countries are struggling with public and private belt-tightening measures which only accelerate the crisis spiral.
Reindustrialization appears as the economic, social, and political process of organizing resources for the purpose of re-establishing / revitalizing industries in order to reinvigorate the economy.

TERENA and SURFnet kindly invite you to the second VAMP workshop on September 30th & October 1st, 2013 in Helsinki, Finland. Goal of VAMP2013 is to foster the deployment of identity management and collaboration tools within the research community. The organisers invite IT architects of international Research Communities, identity federations and providers of (collaborative) infrastructures for research to participate in this interactive workshop.

The design of the workshop is to provide: * structured presentations on exemplar deployments within specific Research Communities, as well as * open discussions for Research Communities architects and infrastructure experts to share use cases, best practices, infrastructural solutions, etc.

VAMP2013 sequels VAMP2012. By the end of the workshop, participants will know about the latest developments in identity federation support for Research Communities, how they can (and cannot) use identity federation, what are the experiences of Research Communities with collaborative infrastructures, and what tools are available for strengthening collaboration. The programme for the workshop will be made available as soon as possible on the TERENA website. Invitation We invite everyone involved in setting up or designing collaborative infrastructures for Research Communities, or otherwise interested, to join us on September 30th and October 1st. We also encourage everyone to provide us with ideas and suggestions for the programme.
