Scientific support for growth, jobs and sustainability: the example of the eco-industries

15 May 2012, Brussels

The European Commission's in-house science service, the Joint Research Centre, is holding a conference on "Scientific support for growth, jobs and sustainability: the example of the eco-industries". High level speakers from science and industry will discuss the main sectors concerned: water, air quality, waste, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. The EU Commissioner for research, innovation and science, Màire Geoghegan-Quinn, will take part in the opening session.


Teaming up for Renewable Heating and Cooling

26-27 April 2012, Copenhagen, Denmark

The European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling (RHC-Platform) is teaming up with Euroheat & Power to organize its 2012 Conference on Renewable Heating and Cooling.The Conference is co-funded by the European Commission in the framework of its financial support to the activities of the RHC-Platform. The event will gather experts from all over Europe to explore the possibilities for smart cities to make use of renewable energy and district heating and cooling, to provide comfort to their citizens and foster the local economy.


H2+FC 2012 (Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells)

23-27 April 2012, Hannover, Germany

See the latest developments in stationary, portable & mobile fuel cells, fuel cell applications, components, test systems, hydrogen production, transport, storage & infrastructure, reformers and beyond at Europe's largest and most important H2+FC exhibition – the Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells at HANNOVER MESSE.

Around 150 companies and institutions from around the globe will showcase a full spectrum of hydrogen/fuel cell-related products, many of them participating in FP6 and FP7 research. The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking PPP will also be present.


South-East European Exhibition and Congress on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy

28-30 March 2012, Sofia

For three days Bulgaria will be a meeting point for professionals  involved in energy efficiency and renewable energy who will join the 8th Congress on EE & RES. Its aim again will be to encourage the transfer of know-how and stimulate the investments in South-East European green energy sector.
