7-9 November 2012, Gothenburg, Sweden
This year’s conference will focus on “Smart Freight to enable sustainable logistics solutions” and will highlight innovations and applications in this area. This year’s ECITL features an academic session on Wednesday and a two-day industrial session on Thursday and Friday.
Research and Industry alike are invited to propose interesting contributions to this year’s ECITL line-up.
European Bus System of the Future FINAL EVENT
15 October 2012, Brussels, Belgium
For the first time, a wide consortium of 47 partners in 11 countries has dedicated four intensive years of research and development to the improvement of bus systems (under the coordination of UITP). The innovative solutions developed and tested as part of the project 'European Bus System of the Future' can be considered essential ingredients for an intelligent bus system, with pioneering vehicles and infrastructures that are well-integrated in European urban scenarios. At this final event, we will give lively presentations to show the results of our research, and exhibit some of the greatest EBSF achievements: four bus demonstrators and prototype (Volvo, MAN, Irisbus, Evobus), the EBSF driver cabin, and the IT architecture test bench.
TIGER final event
27 September 2012, Brussels, Belgium
TIGER researchers studied ways to reduce congestion of EU ports and roads, improving intermodality, increasing rail freight’s market share and improving the rail network's productivity. Four demonstrators were set up to support the development of intermodality in Europe, looking for the right balance between geographical locations, existing infrastructures, local characteristics, natural barriers, hinterland penetration and environmental protection
