The sixth Aerodays will take place from 30th of March to 1st April 2011 in Madrid, following its successful predecessors that took place in Brussels (1991), Naples (1993), Toulouse (1997), Hamburg (2001) and Vienna (2006).
The event will bring together aeronautics stakeholders, ministries, agencies and R&D centres from all over Europe and overseas to network, present their latest research results and to discuss common future R&D projects.
Organized by CDTI (Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology in Spain) and the European Commission (Directorate General for Research), Aerodays 2011 will provide a perfect opportunity to present and disseminate information about EU-funded RTD results, and will be in line with the EU goals creating a Single European Sky, a European Research Area and of finding innovative approaches to sustainable aviation in a global environment.
30-31 March 2011, Brussels
This conference will bring together the key stakeholders of the healthcare sector to highlight and discuss the policy developments needed for research and innovation in healthcare at European and National level, in the frame of the Innovation Union and beyond.
The objective of the second edition of this conference is to produce an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) for innovation in healthcare and make specific recommendations that will be addressed to policy-makers and stakeholders. The whole event will be complemented by a small "fair" where associations and support structures will provide information to the participants.
Commissioner for Research and Innovation, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship, Antonio Tajani, and Commissioner John Dalli, responsible for Health and Consumers, are invited to be among the speakers.

Innovation Union states that ‘our strengths in design and creativity must be exploited’. With design firmly on the European agenda, policy-makers across Europe will be looking to understand the role of design in innovation. The SEE project final conference aims to provide delegates with an overview of design’s role in innovation, recent design policy developments in Europe, examples of successful design policies and promotion programmes. The programme will be opened by Polish MEP, Jan Olbrycht with reflections on design as part of the Europe 2020 strategy.

The Lille Innovation Conference will focus on major economic changes, new models to promote innovation in the broadest sense and good European practices. It will present some of these models and their application in regions and businesses. Participants will be European regional and local governments, innovation/development agencies and operators.

The ERA-NET Learning Platform (supported by the ERA-LEARN action) is organising a workshop entitled "Implementing ERA-NETs" which is designed as a training session targeted at current and future ERA-NET coordinators and core partners of the consortia (work package leaders). The training will provide participants with hands-on experience that will support them in coordinating ERA-NET actions and in implementing joint activities, in particular joint calls.
