3rd Congress of the European Academy of Neurology

These are exciting times for Neurology. New diseases are being defined, new procedures are developed and introduced in clinical practice resulting in more accurate diagnosis, complex disease mechanisms are more and more unravelled, and current treatment options are extending.

Parallel to all these developments also new challenges are encountered in the search for understanding, preserving and repairing the nervous system.

These and other topics will be addressed by leading international experts in the different neurological fields. And all will take place in a magnificent town!

27th June, Copenhagen: Rolf Heuer and Henrik Wegener at the 4th European Conference for Science Journalists – plenary session "Make scientific facts great again".

The current and former Chair of the European Commission's Scientific Advice Mechanism High Level Group of Scientific Advisors (SAM HLG) will be joined after this session by HLG members Janusz Bujnicki, Pearl Dykstra, Elvira Fortunato, Rolf Heuer, Carina Keskitalo and Cédric Villani for a press briefing.

COST Connect: Water for Food and Agriculture in the Mediterranean Area

Water for food and agriculture is an important topic on the agenda. COST supports more than 20 Actions in this area and European stakeholders intensively discuss the issue with a strong focus on the Mediterranean area.

COST aims to provide networking opportunities to structure this important field, to link the active researchers with policy stakeholders and thus connect the dots in the European Research Area.

The event aims to increase awareness on the different relevant funding opportunities in the field and how to access them. Participants will decide on the issues to discuss, such as emerging S&T topics in the field, identifying potential future research cooperation.

52nd International Paris Air Show

The International Paris Air Show is organised by the SIAE, a subsidiary of GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industries Association.

The 52nd  show will take place at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions from 19 to 25 June 2017 and, once again, will bring together all the players in this global industry around the latest technological innovations. UKRO Conference 2017

Each year the UK Research Office (UKRO) organises a two-day conference aimed primarily at European Liaison Officers, European research managers, Research Councils and policy makers.

The EuroNanoForum biannual conference, now in its 8th edition, has grown since 2003 into the most significant European forum in its field for scientists, industrialists and policy makers.

ENF2017 is orginised under the auspices of the Maltese Presidency of the European Union.

EuroNanoForum 2017 will focus on how nano and materials technologies can strengthen competitiveness across all European industries. The discussion will also extend to framework conditions such as education, standards, regulations, IPR and safety issues, as well as entrepreneurship and industrial policy.

1st HBP Curriculum workshop series - ICT for non-specialists

Working on the frontiers between neuroscience and ICT, or medicine and ICT requires basic knowledge in the field of computer science.

This workshop complements the online course ICT for non-specialists and provides practical insights into ICT research for young investigators interested in the subject without an ICT background, who require some basics for their research.
