The last few months have seen the reconsideration of issues about nuclear safety and nuclear’s long-term contribution to the EU’s energy mix. The EESC and the European Commission are therefore organizing an open, balanced and exploratory process of dialogue and debate for all stakeholders in civil society focused on nuclear fission energy research and its role in a low carbon economy.
