Our energy system is very complex. It includes not only renewable, nuclear, and fossil energy sources but also electrical, thermal, and fuel energy pathways that convert, store and deliver energy services at different physical scales.
The integration of various energy sources and vectors in the energy system is a practical challenge with important contributions to security of supply.
The objective of the workshop is to highlight the complementarity of this research area compared with smart grids and storage. It also aims at exploring the added value of the cooperation with international partners.
