Workshop "Agri-food SMEs collaborating for innovation along the supply chain - What, who, how?"
17 October 2017, Brussels, Belgium
On 17 October 2017, the European Commission (Directorate-General Research & Innovation, Directorate General Agriculture and Rural Development) organised a workshop entitled "Agri-food SMEs collaborating for innovation along the supply chain - What, who, how?. This workshop was organised in collaboration with 2 Strategic Working Groups (SWG 'Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems / AKIS' and SWG 'Food Systems/FS') of the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR).
The aim of this workshop was:
- to showcase agri-food SMEs' best practices on collaborating for innovation along the supply chain;
- to discuss the challenges and opportunities of such co-innovation:
- to discuss how these practices can be supported and stimulated.
The workshop was invitation-only, and brought together approximately 60 experts. Participants were mostly representatives of agri-food SMEs, but also technology experts, innovation experts, intermediaries (innovation clusters, incubators...), and policy makers.
The agenda and presentations can be found below, as well as a participants list and some photographs in a Photogallery. A report is under preparation and will be added later.
