Priorities for developing the UK space sector - infrastructure, regulation, innovation and collabora
12 March 2015, London, UK
This conference will focus on the future of the space industry in the UK, particularly in relation to what more can be done to support enterprise, growth, inward investment and exports across the sector.
An important context for the discussion will be Government's focus on satellite and space technologies as part of the recent eight great technologies commitment. The discussion is also timed to assess next steps for Government's Space Growth Action Plan, and what more Government can do to provide a competitive regulatory environment, develop space capabilities and facilitate international collaboration. Delegates - including policymakers and key stakeholders from across industry and the scientific community - will discuss further ways to encourage growth in the UK sector including improving access to finance, business management tools, skills training, and mentoring, as well as latest thinking on the cross-sector application of space technologies, particularly the development, commercialisation and exploitation of satellite data.
