52nd International Paris Air Show

The International Paris Air Show is organised by the SIAE, a subsidiary of GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industries Association.

The 52nd  show will take place at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions from 19 to 25 June 2017 and, once again, will bring together all the players in this global industry around the latest technological innovations. The first four days of the Show will be reserved for trade visitors, followed by three days open to the general public.

12th ITS European Congress - ITS Beyond Borders

The 12th ITS European Congress will take place from 19 to 22 June 2017 in Strasbourg. Under the theme “ITS Beyond Borders”, the Congress will focus on the people, intelligent mobility users, as every day hundreds of thousands of them are crossing the French-German border to live their daily lives.

During the Congress, the City and Eurometropolis of Strasbourg and ERTICO – ITS Europe will host the second edition of the Mayors’ Summit. City mayors and leaders from Europe will gather again to explore opportunities, experiences and strategies related to present and future contributions of ITS supporting policies for modal shift for people and goods in cities.

The 12th ITS European Congress 2017 is organised by ERTICO – ITS Europe in partnership with the European Commission and hosted by the City and Eurometropolis of Strasbourg.

EuroNanoForum 2017

The EuroNanoForum biannual conference, now in its 8th edition, has grown since 2003 into the most significant European forum in its field for scientists, industrialists and policy makers.

ENF2017 is orginised under the auspices of the Maltese Presidency of the European Union.

EuroNanoForum 2017 will focus on how nano and materials technologies can strengthen competitiveness across all European industries. The discussion will also extend to framework conditions such as education, standards, regulations, IPR and safety issues, as well as entrepreneurship and industrial policy.

The programme will include sessions on finance and funding through European and National programmes, in particular Horizon 2020, smart specialisation and public-private partnership initiatives.

1st HBP Curriculum workshop series - ICT for non-specialists

Working on the frontiers between neuroscience and ICT, or medicine and ICT requires basic knowledge in the field of computer science.

This workshop complements the online course ICT for non-specialists and provides practical insights into ICT research for young investigators interested in the subject without an ICT background, who require some basics for their research.

MIME Third Stakeholder Forum Meeting

A number of European and overseas stakeholders not involved as partners in MIME have agreed to interact with the MIME consortium through the Stakeholder Forum.

The persons representing these stakeholders will provide their opinion on issues related to diversity and multilingualism relavant to the project , rooted in their activity as practitioners and professionals.

The third Stakeholder Forum Meeting in Riga will offer plenty of opportunities for both formal and informal exchange between stakeholders and the MIME team.

Participation in the Stakeholder Forum Meeting will provide stakeholders with the opportunity for direct dialogue with researchers and offer them first hand access to cutting edge research results, which may in turn help stakeholders shape and steer their future actions and practical operations in line with the newest developments in the field.

Re-thinking Sustainable Food Systems

20 June 2017, Brussels, Belgium

White Rose Brussels is hosting an event on food security during which eminent scientists from the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York will present their research on sustainable soil management for intensive arable systems, developed in collaboration with farmers, plant breeders and the supply chain.

The keynote speech at the beginning of the meeting will be delivered by Phil Hogan, Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development.

The seminar will be an opportunity to learn more about the White Rose Sustainable Agriculture Consortium and international linkages and to join in the discussion on re-thinking sustainable food systems with the academics, Thierry de l’Escaille (European Landowners’ Organisation) and Nicolas Villacorta (Food 2030, DG RTD).

European GEO Workshop - EuroGEOSS: Shaping the European contribution to GEOSS

European GEO Workshop will take place in Helsinki between 19-21 June 2017.

The purpose of the conference is to bring together European stakeholders interested in and actively contributing to the Global Earth Observations System of Systems (GEOSS). The event is a forum to exchange ideas and inform participants about work and initiatives undertaken in the context of GEOSS.
