The Floodstand project studied flooding, flooding simulation, damage stability, evacuation and rescue, experimental and numerical testing, decision-support and passenger ships.
It aimed first of all to increase the reliability of flooding simulation tools in design and onboard use, by establishing modeling principles and uncertainty bounds. Secondly, it looked to establish a method for instantaneous classification of the severity of ship flooding casualty. Its final results will be presented at this public seminar.
