Q: Topic "Modelling microstructure ..": the project can include "Third Countries" partners for cooperation. In view to include a Canadian partner: can we compensate the cost for this partner required for the cooperation and should we include those cost in our budget, or list the party as a normal EU participant in the project budget ?
A: The Canadian partner cannot receive EU funding but, as in the case of US partners, should seek funding from a National agency or other institution. However, the financial effort and budget associated with the Canadian partner should appear in the proposal so that evaluators can see their contribution to the project, also their source of funding should also appear.
