A: INTAS is an independent International Association formed by the European Community, European Union Member States and like minded countries acting to preserve and promote the valuable scientific potential of the Newly Independent States of the former Soviet Union through East-West Scientific co-operation. INTAS implements a part of and is financed by the FP6 INCO activities.
