Q: I have been told to notify to the Commission my intention of submitting a proposal. What is it for?
A: For FP6, a web-based facility for notifying an intention to submit a proposal is available for all calls for proposals. Although this is not compulsory, proposers are strongly encouraged to notify their intention to submit a proposal. Notification does not commit the proposer to submission of a proposal on the notified topic. The notification information is made available to the Commission services before the call deadline and is used as an aid to the logistical planning of the evaluation sessions (matching numbers and subjects of proposals with numbers and skills of evaluators).
