Q: ERC - How can an applicant submit a proposal if his/her research project involves two Host Institutions?
A: The applicant should choose the Institution as main Host Institution for the ERC grant which can commit itself to host (=engage) the Principal Investigator for the duration of the project. Form A2, including the administrative details must be provided for both institutions (applicant legal entity and other participant/legal entity). The commitment letter of the Host Institution, however, is required only from the main host which is usually the employer of the PI. Additionally, any involvement of other participants/legal entities needs to be properly addressed and justified in Part B of the proposal.  For more information, please refer to the Ideas Work Programme and ERC Guide for Applicants relevant to the call.?
