Q: For ERC Grant schemes: Within the ERC Advanced Grant call, and in case of success in the selection, will it be possible to charge on the ERC funds the costs paid for the translation of the submitted proposal into another language (i.e. English)?
A: There is no need to mention translation costs in general. The cost would incur BEFORE the implementation period, so would be ineligible for funding. Please note that Applicants may submit their proposal in any official language of the European Union, and it is recommended to include a full translation in English. In any case, an English translation of the abstract should be included in the proposal. For more information, please refer to the ERC Work Programme (available at URL: http://erc.europa.eu/pdf/l-wp-201101_en.pdf), and the relevant ERC Guide for Applicants.
