Training for the future

illustration

A special programme, launched within the accompanying measures of the INCO programme for newly associated pre-accession countries, supported information, dissemination, awareness and training actions concerning the Fifth Framework Programme.

The activities covered by this initiative also concerned the search for partners, the building of consortia, the drafting of projects and the preparation of proposals (with special attention on SMEs), the negotiation of contracts for successful candidates, and the scientific and administrative management of EU-supported RTD projects.

Training in Estonia

An ongoing project aims to increase the quality and number of Estonian participants in the Fifth Framework Programme by trying to provide every Estonian researcher, research organisation and innovative enterprise with relevant information, individual advice and adequate training courses. Via this perspective, special attention is dedicated to the involvement of industrial and SME support organisations.

Network development action

The project's main aims are: the integration of fragmented and heterogeneous research support networks; to increase the expertise and potential of the Polish scientific community; and strengthening transnational research potential. Nine regional training meetings have been held so far, with the participation of Austrian and German experts and representatives of the EU neighbouring countries, who contributed to the implementation of the training activities by presenting their respective methods of work.
