I was involved in a really large collaboration between seven different laboratories from four or five different countries across Europe which was brilliant in order to share experiences, develop ideas, and to travel to these different countries as well, which, as a young person, is personally inspiring. And you get to meet some really really interesting and innovative scientists. And that wouldn't happen without that kind of framework of funding.
