'From DNA to Phenotype' - An International Conference On Multidisciplinary Research Into Genetic Variations
Rotterdam, Netherlands, 09 - 11 March 2011
The analysis of DNA variants on a genome-wide scale has become a standard research approach to understand causes of disease, in particular the so-called "complex" diseases such as diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer, etc. The Conference and Master classes 'From DNA to Phenotype' co-organised by FP7 project GEFOS is covering three main themes: a) Biobanking/GWAS/Consortia, b) Novel Genomics, and c) From Gene to Function to Implications. The 'core' of the speakers will be international leading scientists in the field of complex genetics. The organisers intend to have an interactive meeting by encouraging discussions after the presentations and by organising "master classes" where in particular the PhD students can discuss topics of interest freely with the speakers.
