Calls for proposal
Under its Sixth Framework Programme, the EU invests significant
resources into funding research with the aim of improving the health
and well-being of European citizens and livestock. With the intensifying
threat of avian influenza, Europe is facing major health challenges
which call on the scientific community to make a concerted effort
to prevail.
For its part, the Commission made available an additional €20
million for influenza research. Details of this special call for
