Managing Authority of Regional Operational Programmes, National

Mr. Márton Matkó is head of the strategic planning unit of the Managing Authority for
Regional Development Programmes at the National Development Agency (NDA).
The institution is responsible for the management of all development programmes financed by the
Structural Funds in Hungary.
Mr. Matkó has been with the NDA since 2008 where he was first responsible for the
management of the operational programme of the North Great-Plain region (Northeast HU).
As head of unit since 2010, he is responsible for the elaboration of calls for proposals in all
thematic fields (including basic level health-care infrastructure) in the framework of the
regional operational programmes.
Previously Mr. Matkó worked at a business consultancy and later at a state-owned
development company, being responsible for facilitating the implementation of development
programmes financed from pre-accession and structural funds.
Mr. Matkó obtained a master's degree in economics at the University of Debrecen in
