Knut has 32 years' experience in the field of Diagnostics. He grew up in the Southern part of
Germany and studied Economics in Stuttgart, Germany.
Knut started his career with
Boehringer Mannheim in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in 1978 in an agroindustrial
complex with pharmaceutical production. The company was later taken over by
Knut stayed in the DRC for six years and then moved to Luxemburg as a Group
Controller for Asia Pacific and Africa.
He moved to Johannesburg, South Africa in 1992 to
head up Roche Diagnostics division and is responsible for the support of 17 countries in
