Miran Pleterski is currently a Director for Corporate Advisory in PEMicon company working in the fields of Investments in Business Development, International Strategy and Innovation, and Business-Government Cooperation.
Prior to that, he was a Director General at the Ministry of Economy of Slovenia, in charge of Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness.
During Slovenian Presidency (2008) he chaired the High level Group of General Directors of EU Member States.
Before joining the Ministry of Economy of Slovenia he worked as an Investment Advisor to Mid-Caps.
He gained significant experience in financing growth while working at the KBC Private Equity, a development capital and buy-out investor, and at the CA-IB UniCredit, International Markets Ltd. as temporary equity research associate in London, UK.
He founded a Pemicon company in Slovenia in 1992 and was its Managing Director and COO.
Miran Pleterski holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, New York, USA, School of International and Public Affairs. He specialized in Economic Policy Management, and in Finance while following courses in Structured Corporate Finance and Banking at Columbia Business School. Prior to that, he obtained a MBA degree at University of Ljubljana, School of Economics, as a part-time student. He earned a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, at University of Maribor, Slovenia.
