Council of European Bioregions
Dr Claire Skentelbery is Network Manager of the Council of European BioRegions (CEBR) and also Secretary General of the European Biotechnology Foundation.
Claire worked with biocommunities across Europe to establish and grow CEBR, with the network launch in 2005. The European Biotechnology Foundation was launched in 2009 and has established its Head Office in Brussels.

She then combined a 10 year period as an independent proposal writer and project manager with her role as Business Development Manager at ERBI, the life sciences network for Cambridge and the East of England. During her role with ERBI, she developed her interest in cluster development, while also managing European Projects.
Claire moved to Brussels in 2008, bringing CEBR to a more central European location and also acted as Director of Operations for Europe Unlimited, before moving to her current combined role in CEBR and the European Biotechnology Foundation.
Claire received a PhD from the University of Aberdeen in plant biochemistry.
