  This project gathered important scientific knowledge about the infestation of ham by parasites, including fungi and tiny spider-like acarids or mites, during the curing process.
  Improved microfiltration systems for the bio and food industry
  This project involved the chemical modification of microfiltration membranes and the development of other components to reduce fouling in food processing plants.
  Microbially and chemically inactive wine and champagne cork stoppers
  A newly developed system uses electromagnetic irradiation to control the development of micro-organisms and to reduce chemical contamination of wine by cork stoppers.
