Q: How is a financial audit carried out to verify costs claimed under categories D and E/3? (All Calls)
A: As the amounts claimed under both Categories D and E/3 depend on the actual researcher months spent on the project, a proof that the researcher(s) actually worked on the project – like a lab book or time sheets for instance – will be checked by the auditor. In addition the employment contract of the fellow, eligibility of the fellow, and proof of the salary payments to the fellow will be required.
