Q: Is it possible to recruit a fellow for certain duration and then extend it? (All Calls)
A: Yes, provided the duration of recruitment of the fellow is within the Grant Agreement requirements, i.e. 3 - 36 months for an ESR and 3 - 24 months for an ER. In addition the research activities for the fellow must be clearly defined for the extended period and the career development plan updated accordingly. The status of the fellow for the purposes of living, mobility and travel allowances would remain those of the initial appointment.
