Q: Are EAG members eligible to submit proposals to the research programmes?
A: EAG members have the same opportunities to submit proposals as all other members of the research communities. As noted in question 10, the EAGs don't play any role in the day-to-day management of the programmes (e.g. in project selection). The members of EAGs are not allowed to benefit directly from their membership of the groups, and the Commission takes the utmost care to ensure that no conflicts of interest arise among the members of the EAGs, who are required to declare any possible conflict of interest or involvement in Community research projects.
