Q: If, based on the national law, the existing programme can finance only research projects that target basic research and the hosts can only be public bodies (research organisations, universities) is it eligible for the COFUND programme?
A: Yes. Although any kind of restriction should be avoided, scientific disciplines and type of research or research organisations (in this case basic research and public bodies) are acceptable, as long as the restriction is not too limiting and is justifiable (in this case due to national legislation).
