Q: Should the fellows in the COFUND programme devote themselves full-time to the research projects? Is it acceptable to finance fellowships with more splits (with several shorter stays at the host)?
A: Yes, part time work and splits of stays are possible, but should only be used in exceptional cases. If this is a systematic pattern of a programme, e.g. other than for family reasons, this should be explained and justified in the application and will be considered during evaluation.
