Q: How does the Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowship scheme work?
A: The researcher applies to the Commission jointly with a return host institution in a Member State or Associated Country and in agreement with a partner institution in a third country. If the proposal is selected, the Commission signs a contract with the return host institution for a total duration of up to three years. The researcher signs an agreement/contract with the return host institution. The researcher is then effectively seconded to the third country institution.
