Q: If my organisation is participating in a FP7 project and the EU contribution for the whole duration of the project is expected to be less than EUR 375,000, do I need to submit a certificate on financial statements?
A: As set out in Article II.4.4 of the FP7 model grant agreement a certificate on the financial statements shall be submitted for claims of interim payments and final payments when the amount of the Community financial contribution claimed by the beneficiary under the form of reimbursement of costs is equal to or superior to EUR 375 000 when cumulated with all previous payments for which a certificate on the financial statements has to be submitted. This certificate must be forwarded in the form of a detailed description verified as factual by its external auditor (Form D - Annex VII). In the case you present, you will not need to submit any certificate of financial statements.
